Food was very good here. Fantastic starter of. Butternut squash ginger and orange soup. Had the bangers and mash which was delicious with excellent local sausages. Haddock Mornay was lovely. My dear ol mum moaned about the prices but overall the food was lovely. Service was excellent!

Our dinner here was fantastic. The three of us who chose the pie agreed it was the best steak pie we'd had in years. The risotto and fish & chips, as well as the desserts, were also fantastic! The servers were really great as well. We wished we lived around here so we could come back!

Really lovely pub, with the most beautiful setting especially on a sunny day. Right next to the canal. Food was lovely although the menu is very limited, there isn't much choice. I had the burger which was amazing . Will definitely be going back. Reasonably priced. Very friendly staff. Clean toilets.

Jessica was very knowledgeable about the menu. She was so very cheery and very responsive to our requests. I had the homemade soup, leek and potato, so hearty and delicious. The toffee pudding was so good I may dream about it. We are cruising the Union Canal and plan to return here for dinner.

Great dinner last night for a party of 5. We were well looked after right from our arrival. Good hearty food after our walk along the canal. Fish and chips and the steak pie were great. Would be nice to have some more vegan / vegetarian choices in the future. Special mention to our waitress Jen who made us all very welcome!

We stopped here for lunch after landing in to the airport from Ireland. We were tired and hungry with a toddler and they were so welcoming. They provided plastic plates and cutlery for our little girl, colours and were so friendly. The food ...

The best Cullen Skink I have ever had absolutely unreal! Worth a trip from London just for that. Lovely views from the dining room. The starters and deserts were the stars of the show, but the homemade pies were amazing. Will be a regular from now on.

This place is so cool!! I arrived here by chance, as I was looking for a place to eat. I had no reservation made, but the gentleman was more than kind to offer me a table, with such a short notice. Inside, looks very cosy and very clean, everything sparkling. Once seated, I chose the food and it arrives quite fast! The soup of the day was to die for! I visited quite a few inns in England and around, but never found one so clean and to be treated with such kindness. Give it a go, you will be pleasantly surprised! And yes, the prices are worth it. In my opinion; they are right for the service provided.
